Registration guidelines

DEADLINE EARLY REGISTRATION: 30 APRIL 2018

We invite you to the 6^th World Congress of Environmental and Resource Economists to be held in Gothenburg, Sweden from the 25th of June to the 29th of June, 2018. Registration is open.

AERE, EAAERE and EAERE members are eligible for a discounted registration fee. If you are not a member of any of these associations, please visit the AERE, EAAERE or EAERE websites and join one association before you fill in the registration form.

All participants and accompanying persons must register for the WCERE 2018.
The deadline for early registration is 30 April 2018. After this date, late (and higher) registration fees apply.

On Friday 29 June you are welcome to join us at your own expence for a post-congress tour to the beautiful island of Marstrand. You can register for this tour while registering to the congress. Please find out more about the Marstrand tour here.

If you did not get a seat to the Congress Dinner

Due to the very high interest in the congress dinner we have decided to open up a waiting list for those congress participants that did not get a seat. If you are interested in signing up on the list please send an e-mail to wcere2018@meetx.se.. Since we cannot guarantee that there will be seats available later, we have decided to open up for 100 additional guests that can come after the dinner to enjoy the music and dancing later in the evening. The tickets to the “after dinner party” will be free of charge and released in the morning of Wednesday June 27’th at the registration desk. First come first served.

DESCRIPTION OF REGISTRATION CATEGORIES

Standard registration fee: Includes access to all sessions, coffee breaks, lunches, Welcome Reception, Social Event and Congress Dinner. Please note that registration for the Congress Dinner is subject to availability.

Registration fee without Congress Dinner: Includes access to all sessions, coffee breaks, lunches, Welcome Reception and Social Event except Congress Dinner.

Reduced registration fee: A reduced fee applies to:
- STUDENTS,
- RESIDENTS IN THE FOLLOWING EASTERN EUROPEAN COUNTRIES - Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Georgia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia-Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine
- RESIDENTS IN LOW INCOME, LOWER-MIDDLE-INCOME and UPPER-MIDDLE INCOME ECONOMIES, in accordance with the World Bank classification.

Please note that the criterion for reduced fee is not nationality but residence so that a national of Romania or Tanzania, resident in the UK is not eligible.

REGISTRATION FEES - excluding VAT

ACCOMPANYING PERSONS
Accompanying persons can be registered through a separate registration form. Accompanying persons’ registration includes access to the Welcome reception and Social event. (Access to sessions, coffee-breaks and lunches are not included.) The Congress Dinner is included in the Standard registration fee. Note that registration for the Congress Dinner is subject to availability.

Late registration (From May 1st, 2018): 800 SEK excluding VAT

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING VAT
The fees are stated excluding VAT (Value Added Tax). Please note, in accordance with Swedish VAT requirements, different rules apply for different countries. All delegates are required to pay VAT on social events not included in the congress fee (25 %) and hotel (12 %).

Country within EU (except Sweden)
For delegates representing an affiliation/organization from an EU country, a valid VAT number for the affiliation/organization is mandatory (otherwise 25 % VAT will be added to your registration fee). It is important that the VAT number is stated exactly according to EU standards. Click here to see the number structure of each member state. Country outside EU
Delegates representing an affiliation/organization from a non-EU country register without a VAT number and do not pay VAT. You still need to fill in the name of your affiliation/organization.

Sweden
Delegates representing a Swedish affiliation/organization are required to pay VAT on the registration fee (25%).

Private persons (from all countries) are required to pay VAT on the registration fee (25%).

PAYMENTS
All payments should be made in Swedish Kronor (kr/SEK). All prices are quoted in SEK and excluding VAT. All bank transfer charges in connection with transferring fees are the responsibility of the payee and are to be paid at the source in addition to the registration fee. Your payment will otherwise not be accepted. No personal, company or Euro cheques will be accepted.

You can pay your registration fee with credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express).
Please note that all credit card payments are made through secure and encrypted online payment gateway, and will be listed as a transaction with Sweden Meetx AB on your credit card statement.

Invoice is only possible for Swedish companies/organizations with a valid Swedish VAT number (Org.nr). Invoice should be paid within 30 days.

All payments need to be settled in advance of the congress. Registration will be confirmed after receiving full payment. Those who do not receive a confirmation notice before the congress are asked to contact wcere2018@meetx.se.

Those whose papers have been accepted for presentation at the congress will only be included in the final scientific programme if they register and pay by 8 May, 2018.

The date of payment is decisive for the registration fee. Even if the registration form is received before the early bird deadline, it will not be considered as early registration if the payment has not been carried out before the deadline.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Registration can be cancelled upon written notification to: wcere2018@meetx.se.

Full refund of the registration fees will be given for cancellation requests received by 15 April, 2018.

A refund of 80 percent, 50 percent and 20 percent will be given if the cancellation is received before 13 May, 27 May and 10 June 2018 respectively. For cancellations received after the 10 June 2018 no refund will be given, but registration may be transferred to another person from the same organization to a cost of SEK 250.

There will be no refund for no-shows.

The LOC of WCERE 2018 does not take the responsibility of force majeure reasons for cancellation of the event (natural disaster, outbreak of severe contagious epidemic, major strikes, etc.). In such cases, LOC will decide upon refunding of paid congress fees.

INSURANCE
The LOC cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss of or damage to property belonging to congress participants (or their accompanying persons), either during or as a result of the congress. Please check the validity of your own travel insurance.
