Participation grants
EAERE makes available a limited number of grants for participation in EAERE 2024.
Paper presenters are eligible for EAERE participation grants.
Grants are handled by the EAERE Secretariat. The grant amount is used to cover the Conference registration fee prior to the Conference; the residual is remitted through bank transfer to the grantee after the end of the Conference. EAERE provides a complimentary membership to each grantee. No age restriction is imposed. Grant allocation is conditional on visa obtainment.
Participation grants of EUR 1.000 each will be assigned to residents in low income, lower-middle-income or upper-middle-income economies in accordance to the definition provided by the World Bank; participation grants of EUR 500 each will be assigned to residents in Europe.
The "Cyprus Institute Participation Grants for Mediterranean Researchers" of EUR 1.000 each will be assigned for candidates from low/middle-income Mediterranean countries. These grants will be awarded with the same procedure as the current EAERE participation grants.
Participation grants will be assigned to the presenters of the best papers according to the following priority criteria:
- Priority 1: Application category 1. PhD students or researchers who completed their PhD in the previous 2 years.
- Priority 2: Application category 2. Researchers who have no other source of funding for the conference.
Moreover, general criteria of gender equilibrium will be applied in the assignment process.
Deadline for submissions: January 31st, 2024
Notifications of grant acceptance will be sent out by end March 2023 by the EAERE Secretariat.
In order to submit your application, you will be requested to fill in the participation grant application form available here.
