IEW 2018 - International Energy Workshop
The IEW is one of the leading conferences for the international energy modeling research community. In a world of environmental and economic constraints, energy modeling is an important tool for addressing the complexity of energy planning and policy making. The workshop will be held June 19-21 2018 in Gothenburg, Sweden at Chalmers University of Technology. More information about the IEW and IEW 2018 can be found by clicking the links.
Topics that are typically addressed at the IEW include, but not limited to:
-
Post Paris climate policy and implementation approaches for Nationally Determined Contributions
-
Energy and climate systems with a focus on adaptation and mitigation strategies
-
Economics of renewable energy technologies and options to increase system flexibility
-
Modelling sustainable systems and meeting sustainable development goals
-
Energy demand and supply, and energy efficiency
-
Modelling from the supply chain perspective
-
Socioeconomics of the energy transition
-
Addressing uncertainties in the transformation of the energy system
-
Feasibility of large-scale investments such as the hydrogen economy, and bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS)
-
Major transitions in transportation and new modelling approaches
