How to get to madrid
By plane
Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas International Airport (MAD) offers direct flights from major cities across Europe, America, Asia, and Africa. There are several options to reach the city center from the airport:

Metro: Metro Line 8 (pink line) connects the airport with Nuevos Ministerios station in approximately 15–20 minutes, where passengers can transfer to other metro lines serving the city.

Cercanías: The Cercanías comuter train network operates from Terminal 4, providing direct connections to major railway stations, including Chamartín, Nuevos Ministerios, Atocha, and Príncipe Pío.

Airport Express Bus: The 24-hour Airport Express Bus (Line 203) connects the airport with key locations in central Madrid, including O'Donnell, Plaza de Cibeles, and Atocha Railway Station (during daytime service).

Ride-hailing services: Uber, Cabify, and Bolt operate at the airport, with designated pick-up areas at each terminal. Fares vary depending on demand and destination.

Taxi: Official taxis are available 24 hours a day outside all terminals. A fixed fare applies for journeys between the airport and Madrid's city centre.
By train
Spain has one of Europe's largest high-speed rail networks. High-speed services (AVE, Avlo, iryo, and Ouigo) provide fast and comfortable connections , making Madrid easily accessible from major cities across the country, as well as cross-border services to France. Madrid is served by two main railway stations:

By bus

How to get to UAM Cantoblanco Campus
From the city center
The most convenient way to reach the conference venue is by Cercanías commuter rail. Take Line C4 (towards Colmenar Viejo or Alcobendas/San Sebastián de los Reyes) and alight at Cantoblanco Universidad station, located just a short walk from the conference venue. Line C4 serves several of Madrid's main transport hubs, including Atocha, Sol, Nuevos Ministerios and Chamartín, making it an easy and efficient option whether you are travelling from the city centre or arriving by train.
Alternatively, the campus can also be reached by bus (line 714 from Plaza de Castilla), as well as by taxi or ride-hailing services such as Uber, Cabify, and Bolt.
From the airport
The easiest way to reach the campus by public transport is to take the Cercanías commuter rail from Terminal 4. If you arrive at Terminals 1, 2, or 3, you can use the free airport shuttle bus to Terminal 4 before boarding the train.
Take Line C1 or C10 to Chamartín-Clara Campoamor, where you can transfer to Line C4 towards Colmenar Viejo or Alcobendas/San Sebastián de los Reyes and alight at Cantoblanco Universidad station.
Alternatively, taxis and ride-hailing services (Uber, Cabify, and Bolt) provide direct access to the campus. The journey typically takes around 20–30 minutes, depending on traffic.

Free parking is available on the UAM Cantoblanco Campus. Delegates coming by car may use the campus parking facilities throughout the conference. No parking permit or parking fee is required.
